            <description><![CDATA[<p>Families in Ashington descended on Woodhorn Museum at the weekend for a fairground extravaganza. The Ashington May Fair started on Thursday and will run until today.</p>

<p>The colliery museum has been playing host to fairground rides and other attractions across the period.</p>

<p>Festivities will come to an end today with celebrations running from 5.30pm-9.30pm.</p>
