Ashington Male Voice Choir officials stand down

Posted by The Journal on Mar 16, 10 09:18 AM in Clubs/Societies

Tributes have been paid to two officials of the Ashington and District Male Voice Choir, who stood down from their posts at the recent AGM.

George Wade, who had been treasurer for 25 years, was joined in stepping down by secretary Alan Blevins, who has held his post for a shorter period.

Choir chairman Malcolm Corbett said the two men had been "worth their weight in gold". Mr Corbett was re-elected, while Chris Bache takes over as secretary and George Ridgeway as treasurer.

We'd like to hear from you.
