Ashington karate students put on a top show
Two North karate clubs put on a spectacular floor show at the Seahouses Junior Competition.
Ashington and Linton students competed superbly in team and Individual kata and kumite events, as entrants of all ages gained recognition for their achievements.

Ashington's biggest achievers were the trio of Kyle Duddridge, Alex Ralph and Dylan Gibson.
They were second in the team kata third kyu and second in the team kumite for 11-14-year-olds.
Caitlin Birdsey and Maya Burns competed in the 10 and under category and secured second places in the individual kata third and fourth kyu respectively.
Linton's Jake Wilkinson, Kieran Constantino and Philip Campbell claimed top spot in the Team Kata event.
Campbell achieved second place in the individual kata for 11-14 year-olds, and Constantino - paired with Louie Cummings - was joint third in the gohon kumite event.
This was the 21st annual championships held at Seahouses.
