New initiative for Ashington jobseekers

Posted by The Journal on Nov 25, 09 03:06 PM in News

Single parents and people with health conditions are being offered help in a new initiative by the Jobcentre Plus agency.

Advisers will be visiting the Northumberland Business Service (NBS) premises in Ashington and the town's Children's Centre from later this month.

A Pathways adviser will be at the NBS building on the Wansbeck Business Park every Tuesday from December 1 between 10am and 4pm.

As well as carrying out interviews, the adviser will be available for customers with health conditions to seek advice and support on returning to work and managing their condition.

A Lone Parent adviser will attend the Ashington Children's Centre every Monday from November 30 between 10am and 4pm.

The adviser will carry out interviews with parents looking for work and offer advice and support to single parents looking to return to the labour market.

We'd like to hear from you.
