Ashington man in charity trek

Posted by The Journal on Nov 10, 09 04:00 PM in News

Action man Lee Ford is looking forward to his next challenge - just two years after he completed a gruelling cycle ride taking in five capital cities.

Lee, 27, from Ashington, and pal Lee Willis, from nearby Lynemouth, are planning to hike and cycle more than 80 miles the length and width of Northumberland for charity.

In April next year the dynamic duo intend to set off from St Oswald's Hospice in Gosforth, which will benefit from their efforts, and hike along the coast to Berwick upon Tweed.

Lee Ford, who works for St Oswald's as outpatient co-ordinator and also as a fitness instructor, designed the Northumberland Challenge 2010 himself.

We'd like to hear from you.
