Spooky fun for the family at Woodhorn
Fun activities for bored youngsters have been lined up at a Northumberland visitor attraction for the school half-term holidays.
While parents can enjoy the popular Northumberland At War exhibition running at Woodhorn Museum and Archives Centre, near Ashington, there is plenty to keep the children amused.
Artist Paul Merrick will be working with youngsters to create a large, spooky silhouette for Hallowe'en on Saturday and Sunday October 24 and 25 from 10am to 4pm.
There will be a scary trail for families around the old colliery buildings throughout the holidays, and a small prize will be on offer to anyone who can find and count pumpkins hidden around the site.
On Saturday October 31 birds of prey will be on display to visitors between 11am and 3pm with flying demonstrations at noon and 2pm.
