Defeat for Ashington Colliers at Cramlington
Only three top-flight league games were down for decision in the Northern Alliance Premier Division at the weekend due to league cup fixtures.
Cramlington Town claimed their first home win by beating neighbours Ashington Colliers 2-1 and they completed a league double in the process (picture by Steve Miller).
Meanwhile, in the Sportsworld North Northumberland League, Ashington Athletic slipped up at home to Alnwick Town Reserves as James Swordy, Neil MacFarlane and Paul Yeadon all netted for the visitors.
