Ashington pupils see how the professionals do it
A group of children planning their own radio station took a look at how the professionals do it.
More than 70 children, between six and eight, from Ashington Central First School visited Metro Radio.

Oliver Sturgeon and Jodie Fraiwald, both eight, during their visit to Metro Radio
The excited boys and girls met breakfast show DJ Steve Colman, and were shown around the Metro Radio studios.
They got to grips with some of the equipment and took in the exciting environment of a commercial radio station.
Pupils and teachers at the school wanted to set up their own radio station, and over a period of a few months Metro Radio staff will be teaching them how to do it.
They will also supply the school with equipment so that once the series of visits by presenters, producers and engineers is over they will have all they need.
The school was put in touch with Metro Radio by the Wansbeck Enterprise Education Network.
It's role is to develop enterprising skills in young people of all ages, and is helping financially with the project.
It is hoped that the school will have its radio station up and running by Christmas.
