Ashington minor football round-up

Percy Main beat Ashington BB Athletic 4-3 in the first round of the NFA Minor Cup.

First-half Percy Main finishes for Malcolm Morien, Callum Colbeck and Chris Locke were wiped out by three Ashington replies after the break.

The Villagers were relieved when Mick Haley edged them in front again with barely a minute to spare as he scored direct from a corner kick.

Meanhwhile, the MB Socca Leagues staged the final games of the season at the Hirst Welfare Centre in Ashington.

Newly-crowned Division One champions North Seaton Elephant signed off in style with a 2-1 victory over Newbiggin Sports Centre.

Runners-up Real Ash overcame Cramlington Ford 5-2.

Station Boys, crowned Division Two champions, just sneaked past Newsham 1-0.
