Resurgent Ashington keep up the pressure

Resurgent Ashington are just a point behind leaders Spennymoor Town in the Skilltrainingltd Northern League First Division following another impressive performance at Woodhorn Lane.

Visitors Esh Winning found the free-scoring Colliers' attack a handful and the goals flowed from Gareth Bainbridge, Scott Blandford, Keith Douglas, plus there was an own goal by Stephen Banks.

Penrith are third after scoring six times at Chester-le-Street who played 87 minutes with 10 men following the dismissal of Rob Draper.
