Posted by The Journal on Aug 11, 09 01:54 PM in News

Free bike alarms will be offered to shoppers alongside crime prevention advice at three events being organised by police.

The sessions are being held at supermarkets in Northumberland this week.

Officers will be at Asda in Blyth on Wednesday, between 11am and 2pm; at Morrisons in Blyth on Thursday, from 11am to 2pm, and at Asda in Ashington between 10.30am and 1.30pm on Friday.

The events are being held in partnership with Northumberland County Council's community safety unit. Crime prevention advisor Sandra Killeen said: "We will be providing advice relating to general security including home and vehicle security, personal safety and offering bike marking."

We'd like to hear from you.
