Drop-in session in Ashington on water work
Northumbrian Water is carrying out work to stop tap water being discoloured.
The company has been working for two years on a large-scale project to clean out its underground pipes.
And residents in Northumberland are now being invited to a series of meetings to find out more about the work going on in their area.
Trunk mains are large pipes which move water around the region and by 2011 Northumbrian Water will have invested ã30m on cleaning and upgrading the pipes.
The next phase of work will begin in September and benefit homes in Cramlington, Blyth, Ashington, Morpeth, Pegswood, Widdrington, Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, Acklington, Morwick, Amble and the surrounding areas. It will take 15 months.
Residents can find out more at the following drop-in sessions.
Tuesday, August 18, Morpeth Parish Hall; Wednesday, August 19, Amble Parish Hall; Thursday, August 20, Ashington Parish Church Hall; Tuesday, August 25 St Cuthbert's Church Hall, Blyth; and Wednesday, August 26, Concordia Leisure Centre, Cramlington.
All sessions take place between 3pm and 7pm.
