Cannabis farm uncovered in Ashington

A cannabis farm has been uncovered in Northumberland.

The haul of up to 200 plants was found by police in Cygnet Close, Ashington.

Officers believe the crop has a street value of £150,000.

A 34-year-old Vietnamese man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the production of cannabis after the raid on Friday afternoon.

Hai Xuan Le, of no fixed abode, appeared at South East Northumberland Magistrates' Court yesterday.
