School-leavers and anyone looking to learn something new can get expert advice in Ashington.

Northumberland College is offering hundreds of courses and is holding an open event to explain what is on offer.

Those looking for a career change, school-leavers and even those just wanting to enjoy going on a course are invited along on Tuesday, June 16. Tutors will be available at the event to give advice on full and part time courses in a wide range of subjects. Those who find the right course for them will be able to enrol straight away.

Courses are offered in subjects including art, design and interactive media; business and administration; construction; early years; engineering and motor engineering; essential skills and ESOL; foundation learning; hairdressing, beauty and holistic therapies; health and social care; hospitality and catering; information technology; sport and leisure and travel and tourism.

The event lasts from 4.30pm to 7pm at the college's Ashington campus on College Road.
