Posted by The Journal on Jun 9, 09 02:37 PM in Councils

A body set up to lead regeneration in parts of Northumberland will be replaced.

SENNTRi (South East Northumberland and North Tyneside Regeneration Initiative) will be replaced by a team from the new unitary council in overseeing development in South East Northumberland.

The new South East Northumberland Regeneration team shows a commitment by the new authority to drive forward regeneration.

Richard Robson, executive director of place for Northumberland County Council, said: "All of the regeneration projects and good work started by SENNTRi will be continued.

"We have already secured major investment from both HCA and One North East for a variety of regeneration projects."
