North Seaton Elephant fall to in-form Pegswood
Pegswood Ex-Servicemans' continued their impressive run in Division One of the Morpeth Sunday League, marking their tenth game unbeaten with a 4-1 win.
Davie Lang netted for opponents North Seaton Elephant, but Carl Sanders (2), Calum Routledge and Graham Allen won it for Pegswood.
Red Row Brick Club also won, 3-2 at home to Ashington Booze Brothers. John McAlpine and David Sturgeon scored for Booze Brothers, but Red Row's Ian Common, Joe Moscrop and Oliver Cowie won it.
Stobhill Social Club won again, 6-1 against Bedlington Northumberland Arms through Jonathan Rees (2), Bradley Smith (2), Stuart Melville and Ashley McAlpine. Paul McGlen got the consolation.
Amble Pier 81 saw Josh Hay score three in a 5-0 win over Ox Inn, Middleton. Paul White and Darren Riddell also scored.
Blackthorn Rovers stay on top of Division Two with a 2-1 win over Castington. Chris Bull netted for Castington, but in-form Craig Robinson earned the win. Morpeth Waterford Lodge maintained second with an identical scoreline against Block and Tackle. Block's Lee Smith scored but Andy Colvert and Alan Gibbard won it.
Bedlington Barrington Arms moved into third with a 3-2 win at Morpeth Chantry. David Scott (2) and Colin Madigan netted with Ryan Jenson and Jez Ruffle replying.
East Chevington crushed Alnwick A 6-0 through Jonathan Shepherd (2), David Shepherd, Darren Smith, Paul Smith and Daniel Palmer. Ellington and Guide Post Social Club settled for a point apiece at 1-1.
Wansbeck Riverside Social Club won 4-0 against Bedlington Station. Nathan Williamson (2), Graham Dawson and Aaron Hicken netted.
In Division Three, Bedlington Station Railway won again, 6-0 against Morpeth Black Bull. Liam Candlish (3), Robbie Black (2) and Jamie Earl scored. Morpeth White Swan and Base FC, Ashington drew 3-3. Darren Percy (2) and Scott Sherrington scored for Swan, matched by Jamie Graham (2) and Lee Sproat.
Ashington Hirst Industrial drew 1-1 with North End Trap, Steven Middleton and Graham Todd scoring. Ashington Conchie won 3-2 at Felton. Felton's Tony Brown and Scott McMullen scored but Aaron Fraser, Scott McBride and Michael Sanderson won it.
