Ashington business park holds open day
Business leaders were invited to look around a new ã3m business park in Northumberland on a specially arranged open day yesterday.
The Enterprise Court business park, at North Seaton Industrial Estate in Ashington, contains 16 industrial units and office space with a total site area of 72,059 sq ft.
It has been developed by Spencer Holdings, an industrial property specialist from Merseyside.
The premises are being promoted by development agency Go Wansbeck.
Keith Raine, Go Wansbeck's programme manager, said: "Enterprise Court is a big visible statement of the transformation underway in Wansbeck.
"The units can accommodate different types of businesses on a very attractive site and very importantly, it caters for smaller enterprises too."
Jim Spencer, chairman of Spencer Holdings, said: "This is a prime location, with easy access, which will provide local businesses with excellent opportunities to develop."
Go Wansbeck's commercial property co-ordinator, Luke Dunnett, researches and advises on available locations which are best suited for businesses, whether it is a start up or relocation.
He said: "Enterprise Court is one of the most attractive and appealing new developments in the district offering businesses - either new or established - a fantastic opportunity."
One of the first occupiers will be bespoke furniture manufacturer, Creative 4U, which is the brainchild of Ian Hopper.
He decided to move the business from his home in Ashington after a successful financial year and significant business growth.
Ian and his team make all the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom furniture themselves and after winning several large contracts, space was becoming limited.
