Passenger rescued after Ashington crash

A passenger was cut out of a car after it crashed into a tree.

The accident happened just after midnight yesterday on North Seaton Road, Ashington.

The back-seat passenger was trapped and a fire crew removed the roof to free him. He is not thought to have been seriously injured. Fire appliances from Ashington and Blyth went to the scene.
