Calling bird watchers in Ashington

Posted by The Journal on Jan 15, 09 11:54 AM in What's On

The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds is asking people to spare an hour of their time to take part in its Big Garden Bird Watch.

Taking place at Hirst Park in Ashington, the event is being billed as the world's biggest garden party.

Participants need to head along to the park for an hour on either January 24 or 25 and record the highest number of each species seen at any one time.

A recording sheet will be supplied by staff who will be on hand to collect the findings and register the details on the RSPB's website to create a national picture.

We'd like to hear from you.
