Closure date announced for Ashington Woolworths
The Woolworths stores in Blyth and Ashington will close on January 5, it has been announced.
Shops in Alnwick, Hexham and Morpeth will close on December 30, but the shop in Berwick will be among the first to shut on December 27.
Administrators confirmed last week that all Woolworths stores would close, at the likely cost of 27,000 jobs, after failing to secure a buyer for the business as a going concern.
