Ashington 1, Bedlington Terriers 1
Ashington manager Andy Gowens was pleased his side managed a point from their First Division 1-1 draw against neighbours Bedlington Terriers - but his opposite number Tony Lowery was disappointed.
Gowens said: "We went down to 10 men after an hour when captain Paul Hutchinson was sent off for a second bookable offence.
"After that we got at them in the last 30 minutes, but it took a penalty by Alan Hogg to level the scores.
"We had trailed for the best part of 80 minutes, so in the end I was grateful for a point.
The game was not one for the purists, but Bedlington thought they had done enough to win all three points.
Lowery said: "We had the incentive of a very early goal when their goalkeeper punched the ball into the net from an inswinging corner by Alex Lawson.
"When they had a man sent off with half an hour left I thought we would, at the very least, hold on to our slender lead.
"Conceding a penalty in the last few minutes proved so costly."
