coatsworth.jpgA North East artist is to unveil his latest collection of work at one of Northumberland's most popular family attractions.

Museum and country park Woodhorn in Ashington will be running the exhibition by John Coatsworth.

Called Past, Present and Future, the selection of images also features John's new painting of Woodhorn itself.

The Tyneside artist is used to painting familiar North East places, including the Tyne Bridge, Millennium Bridge, Theatre Royal and the Angel of the North.

He's also been commissioned by the Metro Radio Arena to paint portraits of performers including Girls Aloud, Kylie Minogue and Coldplay, who were presented with the artworks.

The exhibition will open to the public on Friday, November 14, and will run until January 4 next year.

The venue is currently running an exhibition called The Pitman Painters.

We'd like to hear from you.
