Christmas lights up for Ashington and Wansbeck

Posted by The Journal on Nov 26, 08 01:34 PM in News

Christmas lights will be switched on across Wansbeck from this weekend.

The first will go on in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea on Sunday night when churches combine for an Advent Sunday Carol Service in the Piazza from 6pm.

Newbiggin Salvation Army Band and the village middle school pupils will provide music and carols.

On Monday, Wansbeck Council and Bedlington Forum's Christmas lights display will be switched on for the first time and the following day the East Ashington Development Trust and Wansbeck Council will host an evening of activities that sees the lights switched on at 4.30pm.

We'd like to hear from you.
