Ashington bag snatch police appeal

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to bag snatches in Ashington and Blyth.

The first, in Hirst Park, Ashington, was at around 9.30am on Friday. A 29-year-old woman was robbed by someone wearing a hooded top.

In the second, at 10.10pm on Friday in Bridge Street, Blyth, a 50-year-old woman had her handbag snatched by a male who cycled past.

Neither victim was hurt and the incidents are not being linked. Anyone who witnessed or has information about either incident can contact Northumbria Police on 03456 043 043.
