Ashington Leisure Centre is inviting youngsters to get active in a fun environment.

Hour-long coaching classes to introduce football to boys and girls aged 5 to 7 years will start on September 19 at 5pm.

Swimming lessons for children aged six months to four years are also being held at the centre.

During the sessions, babies and young children can enjoy music, songs and games which help develop movement, balance and breath control, ensuring that learning to swim is a natural and seamless progression.

Water confidence is ensured as parents learn to help baby enjoy the water and the stimulation it offers.

The sessions run every Tuesday during term-time between 12.30pm and 1.30pm. For more information on either of the classes, contact Ashington Leisure Centre on 01670 532380.
