Posted by Graeme Whitfield on Sep 29, 08 02:21 PM in Sport

On Saturday Ashington went down 3-0 to Billingham Synthonia in the Northern League Division 1.

John Amos, Craig Coates and Graham Cairns were Seaton Delaval's marksmen in their 3-1 Challenge Cup win at home to Ashington Colliers, who replied through Anthony Wright.

A hat-trick from Josh Hay did the damage against Ashington Booze Brothers, who lost 3-2 to Amble Pier 81 in Division One of the Morpeth Sunday League.

David Lang and Luke Bunten got their names on the scoresheet for the Brothers.

In Division Three, Base FC Ashington picked up three points at home in an Ashington derby against Ashington Hirst Industrial thanks to a hat-trick from Graham Todd and a brace from Gary Todd, which saw them to a 5-2 win. Kris Allington replied with a brace of his own for the Industrial.

Michael Sanderson helped himself to a hat-trick for Ashington Conchie, but could not prevent his side losing 4-3 at North End Trap as Robert Morton (2), Stephen Hogg and Craig Keen saw the Trap home.

Fixtures:

Ashington play Spennymoor Town at home in the midweek game, while next week's game is against Leeds Carnegie in the 1st round of the FA Vase.

Ashington Colliers are away to Alnwick Town on the 1st October and are up against Harraby Catholic Club on Saturday 4th.

Sunday League fixtures for October 5:
